Cool Blue Perivolos Beach

They say that when you go abroad you should go where the locals go. Perivolos beach is one of those places. One reason is that there is always something happening in Perivolos. In fact, Perivolos is an extension of Santorini’s nightlife by day. Another reason is the extensive choice of things to do. Friendly beach volley games are a regular thing, water sports are available and there are loads of beach bars & restaurants to choose from.

Occasionally the beach bars hold live “happenings” with popular Greek singers, bands and DJs making guest appearances. And if you stick around until late afternoon or early evening, you might witness a wedding and wedding reception on the beach.
Tip If you want to rent sunbeds and umbrellas, keep in mind that these are provided by the establishment renting that part of the beach. There is a fee for this (someone will come with a ticket you must purchase). You are also expected to order something from the bar. Most places offer meals and snacks. If this isn’t your cup of tea, there are open beach areas to lay your towel.
Perivolos beach is connected to Perissa beach, making it the longest stretch of sand on the island. We’ll be talking about Perissa at a later date.
