Scattered throughout Santorini you can find historical churches, monasteries and Venetian castles such as the Gizi building in Fira, which has been converted into a cultural center. You should also visit the Archaeological, Folklore and Maritime Museums.
Santorini is also popular for its nightlife. In some areas you can find quite cafés and bars and others are packed with pubs, taverns and clubs offering intense nighttime entertainment.
Do not miss a visit to the isles of Nea Kameni, Palea Kameni and Thirassia, which are opposite the Western side of the island and were created by volcanic eruptions.
SANTORINI BEACHES
Several spectacular beaches are very distinctive in character due to the volcanic nature of the area, such as the Red and White Beaches in Akrotiri and the Black Beaches in Perissa, Perivolos, Monolithos and Kamari, as well as Vourvoulos Beach.
